Alison Williams, Secretary she/they

Alison is a NYC BD/SM, kink educator, Leather Woman sometimes Leather Daddy, Yoruba Priest, and Artist. They have been a ProDom and owned a private dungeon for several years.

Alison is a founding Mother of ONYX Pearl’s NY/Northeast and held the position of treasurer for the chapter, as well as the position of VP for the ONYX Pearls National Council. They were a former assistant director of MAsT Metro NY 2002-2011 & MAsT Manhattan. 2015-16 (Masters and slaves together). They assisted in assembling a multi-racial, multi-gendered Master/slave presenter track for TES Fest 2012 (The Eulenspiegel Society). They’ve presented at TES, TES-FEST, Dom/Sub Friends, and LSM (Lesbian Sex Mafia) which they are a current member. They were nominated for the 2012 Pantheon of Leather Northeast. They are also part of the We are Leather Women photo project, which highlights the role of women in the Leather/Levi community.

Alison also provides public service in one of the city’s public libraries and have positioned themselves in library’s to create spaces for Queer/Trans/GNC teens. Creating a space of safety, creativity, and understanding. As a leader in the world of public libraries, they not only train and coach staff to understand all communities, but to curate collections that welcome a variety of communities that may still be stealthy. They also make themselves visible at public community events, and school outreach events to talk about the kinds of programming they offer teens. They also focus on seniors, creating programming on computer literacy as well as mental health, and socially connecting programs.

Josh Beauchemin he/him

Josh (He/him/his) has been working in the non-profit sector in different capacities for the past 15 years. This includes as a former board member for different non-profits and currently as a CFO. Josh holds a strong belief that non-profits provide the greatest diversity to the business world as well as the most interesting projects. As such, his life mission is to help non-profit entrepreneurs reach success by sharing his years of HR, finance, and start-up knowledge in the non-profit world as a mentor and coach to small business entrepreneurs.

Kat Bloomfield, MS they/she

Kat (they/she) is a nonprofit executive and fundraising professional who has inspired over $22 million in charitable giving over 11 years. As an avid arts and STEAM advocate, they feel a strong connection to the principles of social entrepreneurship, particularly centered around arts-integrated racial and economic justice.

Kat was first in their family to attend college, start a business, and get a Master’s Degree. In February 2021, at 31, they were honored by the New York City Council and the Chair of the Arts and Culture Committee for community service and a lifetime of philanthropy as part of Black History Month celebrations.

In 2014, Kat founded Arts Business Collaborative, a technical assistance and research nonprofit committed to improving the quality of life of people of color through the arts and STEM. Under their leadership, the organization’s budget grew from $30,000 in 2018 to over $10 million in 2020, providing technical assistance and fiscal sponsorship through the lenses of racial equity and data-informed research for nearly 1,000 BIPOC- and Latinx-led community-based nonprofits, individual artists, and creative economy small businesses. 

Kat serves on Queens Community Board 2 as Treasurer and part of the Arts & Culture and Budget Committees. They are a graduate of Wellesley College with a dual Bachelors in Media Arts and Sciences and Printmaking and earned a Masters in Nonprofit Management with a concentration in Online Community Organizing at Northeastern University.

Michael Handler, Treasurer he/him
Michael Handler is a queer man living in San Francisco working in technology with a notable fondness for bears and bicycles and speculative fiction, which clearly distinguishes him from everyone else in his peer group, or something like that. He's been a sysadmin/ops person/devops/SRE for his entire career at companies like AOL, Google, and Stripe. Michael is currently part of the delightful team of humans at Quip, which was acquired by Salesforce in late 2016. He tries to expect the unexpected, knows technology is secretly actually all about people, and would like to remind you that wherever you go, there you are.

Shadana Texidor she/her

Shadana is a dynamic, accomplished Human Resources Leader, with 25 years of experience leading and implementing strategic human resources and business initiatives for industry leaders. She’s an out-of-the-box thinker with a proven track record of blending strategic and tactical HR generalist services. Shadana is known as a motivational, influential leader and collaborator with experience servicing multi-site and global organizations both small and large. Her specialty is building and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders and C-Suite executives, leveraging interpersonal and communication skills to foster long-term relationships across organizations. Shadana is also the owner of a HR consulting business, S.T. HR Consulting, Inc.
