June 2014 Newsletter

Howdy Passionate People,

It's June already? When did that happen?

The past month has been full of research on non-profits and whether it makes sense to relaunch Passionate Produce that way:

  • We've talked with Rich Streitfeld, the Zen Mensch Accountant, about some of the nitty-gritty financial details and what folks might or might not be able to take as tax deductions.
  • We've met with the amazing Megan Andelloux, founder and Executive Director of The Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health, and picked her brain about starting a sex-positive 501(c)(3) organization.
  • We've started reaching out to sex-positive friends and letting them know that within a few months we may be asking them for donations.

Our fearless leader, Dr. Kristen Stubbs, will be giving a talk  "The Sex Geek as Culture Hacker," at HOPE X, July 18-20, in New York City. We'll post more details as they're available via Tumblr, Facebook, and Twitter. If you're in the NYC area, come out and say hi!

Thanks for continuing to follow our adventures in sex-positive startup land!

Peace,
~The Passionate Producers
