June 2015 Newsletter

Greetings, super supporters!

As of May, we're proud to announce that the remaining two positions on our inaugural board will be filled by Abie Hadjitarkhani and Rachel Carlisle!

Abie Hadjitarkhani is a jack of many trades and master of some. He is old enough to know better and is always smiling and arriving late for tea. He loves the subjunctive, and it won't die until he does.

Rachel Carlisle is a sex worker, writer, activist, muse and international woman of intrigue with over 2 years of experience in the sex-positive non-profit sector. While most of her adventures occur in her home base of Denver, Colorado, she is occasionally found all over the globe in big cities and exotic locales. She tends to dislike labels and feels she defies categorization, but some commonly used descriptors for her sexuality and gender include: queer, cis, femme, straight-passing, non-monogamous, polyamorous, kinky and versatile.

Last month we held a party celebrating the official launch of the Effing Foundation for Sex-Positivity and the third birthday of teasecraft-boston, the meetup group for sex/kink-positive makers, hackers, and crafters. teasecraft is now officially a project of the Effing Foundation! If you'd like more information on DIY sex-positive crafting, check out teasecraft.com.

Thanks to everyone who came out and celebrated with us in May! We're looking forward to a June filled with credit-card-processor-hunting and incorporation-paperwork-drafting. Hopefully your projects this month will be at least as much fun as ours. ;)

Peace,
~Kit Stubbs, Ph.D.
